WGT Estonia - a small country by the Baltic Sea with a mostly Estonian-speaking population of 1.5 million. Even before the recent political re-independence came true, Estonia was regarded as a fairly original islet on the musical map of the world (Arvo Pärt, Veljo Tormis). Now another unique musical phenomenon has emerged from there - the Weekend Guitar Trio.

January, 1993 - Weekend Guitar Trio is formed.

Jazz & contemporary - the cathegory of the international contest of electric guitarists in Lausanne (Switzerland) in 1995, in which Weekend Guitar Trio was awarded the first prize. In fact, the concerts of the group have animated audiences everywhere, at renowned jazz festivals (the E.B.U. jazz festival in Marciac, France in 1995, "Jazz Guitar '94" in Novosibirsk, Siberia, "Kaunas Jazz '94" in Lithuania, "Jazzkaar" and "Fiesta International" in Estonia) as well as festivals of contemporary music ("Nyyd '95" and "The Days of Estonian Music '95" in Tallinn, Estonia).

*Weekend Guitar Trio - a wonderful collaboration of three Estonian guitarists/composers with completely different musical background.
